Bali Tour Operator: Ocean Star Express
The Ocean Star Express is a new school new kid on the block speed boat shuttle service running daily and operating from Padang Bai East Bali to the fabulous and paradise Gili Islands of Gili Meno, Gili Air, and Gili Trawangan. It is in these Gili Islands that the first Western Visitors immediately recognized hedonism, euphoria, and exotic tropical island living sublimity. Nowadays visitors to the Gili Islands will see many changes from what they were thirty years ago, but the beaches, sunshine, and island feel have not changed one bit. Gili Trawangan is the world’s smallest island to have a licensed Irish Pub, and measure two by three kilometers. It is the largest of the three Gili Islands and rises somewhat above sea level with a lightly forested interior and some trekking possibilities.
The Ocean Star Express is sixteen meters long. The other two Gili Islands barely rise above sea level and could well be at risk if global warming continue into this century and the next. But for now just kick back and chill out with a Bintang beer and groovy beats and don’t worry about how to get ashore, because the Fast boat to Gili Trawangan is ready to save the day. Reaching top speeds of 35 knots, the Ocean Star Express will zoom past the other Gili Island shuttle boats and leave them groveling in its wake. The Ocean Star Express, apart from being the fastest Gili boat to hand, is also the coolest. Welcome guests can bop along to hip-hop beats in the fully weather proof cabin, and after getting all greasy and sweaty ion the top deck for sunbathing, welcome guests can cool down with a welcoming and gratuitous hand and face wet towels ideal for refreshing.
Welcome guests will discover that Ocean Star also offers great reliability, safety, excessive speeds, comfort, and style. The cabins are designed to accommodate up to thirty two welcome guests, and the Ocean Star Express vessel is driven onwards and upwards by meaty Suzuki 250 hp four stroke motors. There cabin has individual bucket seats for added padding, security and comfort during the exhilarating ride over to the Islands. And as welcome guests start to enjoy the music on board, they will also be fed with a free and scrumptious lunch box full of rice and all things nice. Welcome guests will have to depart from Padang Bai. This is a busy port in the East of Bali which takes about one and a half hours by car to reach from Denpasar depending on traffic and road conditions. At the time of writing, the East Coast Highway is under construction.
